My grandkids started calling me "Mo." I wanted my name to be easy for them to say, so I would hear it often! It was also an easy name for my daughter-in-laws to use without them feeling I was replacing their own mothers.
This has stuck, and many of my grandchildren's friends call me "Mo."
This is me. I'm approachable, love to love others, especially young people. I enjoy being grandma and feeding multitudes. "Mo" makes me think of my own grandmothers who cooked and fed any and all who came along with warmth and enthusiasm. And the name suggests simplicity and practicality - nothing fancy.
I hope the name suggests fun too. Because I feel that laughter is healing and even spiritual. God's word speaks of joy as a fruit of the spirit, and an expression of praise to God. I don't mind being laughed "with" or even being laughed at. Life is so serious and often tragic that I feel I have to laugh at some of the things that happen. You really can take it all too seriously.
So, here is MO actually blogging! Can you believe it? But I'm hopeful that I can share
in this way some of the "vassssst knowledge?" I have obtained that no one wants to sit down and listen to. And if anyone is interested in ESL lessons from the Bible for internationals, especially Chinese, maybe I can help? I have hundreds of lessons I have written and taught, using God's word. The more recent ones have Chinese characters interspersed for comprehension of new or difficult vocabulary. I would love to pass these on to others.....
